Lineup’s exclusive customer leadership conference, ‘Maximise Advertising and Building Audience’ returned in October 2022, with industry experts, customer leaders and partners of the Global Lineup Community collaborating together to discuss the future of media.

Danny Spears from the Ozone Project delivered a great session on how we can better utilize our data to maximize revenue, with some great ideas on the new strategies that will lead us to transformative change. Proven strategies that can revolutionise your bottom line
Our first panel of the event saw Justin Cooke, Northzone, Danny Spears, Ozone, Jordan Magness, Gannett, and Jason Lollback, News Corp Australia, sharing some of their success stories on how Lineup Solutions aided their journey in driving revenue, and how increased staff efficiencies and consolidating their tech stacks was a key role in delivering this.

Amanda McGinnis from AffinityX, a partner of Lineup, lead a brilliant and insightful session, looking into the portfolio of sales enablement solutions and how publishers can utilize these to increase their revenue.

How to respond to cyber criminals targeting media companies
In this session, our CIO, Rob Hesmondhalgh and Global Technical Delivery Manager, Dan Arnott discussed with Tom Lekang, CTO at Amedia some of the strategies that media businesses can take to respond to cyber attacks, including how Immutable Storage can safeguard the most important data.

Creating a healthy workplace culture post-COVID
Brooke from Gannett took to the stage to share some of the inspiring stories from the sales teams within Gannett that built an amazing workplace culture and successful sales performance during the global COVID pandemic.

Diversification strategies to drive new revenue opportunities
Our second panel of the day was lead by Frank Mugomba from News UK, Wayne Gough from Time Out UK, and Peter Barr-Watson from The Spectator. There were many interesting discussions around their successful strategies, as well as being open about their experiments that haven’t landed so well.

Breakout Sessions

Track 1: Understand your data

Justin Pearse, New Digital Age, and Michael Mendoza, Lineup, lead track one of our breakout sessions, looking at how publishers need to utilize data to accelerate digital transformation. Discussions explored how if you have data insights and can engage audiences better, grow reader revenue and reinvent advertising in the post-third-party cookie era, then you will really take advantage of this moment in time.

Track 2: Strategies to improve cyber security

Our very own Rob Hesmondhalgh, Dan Arnott and Jirka Burian, lead discussions in track 2, looking at common threats and vulnerabilities publishers face with the rise in cybercriminals, as well as discussing the measures you can put in place to limit risk to your organisation.

Track 3: Think Local, Act Global

Our final track of the breakout sessions was hosted by Susan Macdonald, our Chief Revenue Officer, who lead discussions on how using global processes and systems can help you scale operations quickly and efficiently, whilst simultaneously managing costs.

THE VENUES

Central Hall Westminster was built in 1905 and is a stunning Grade II listed building, directly facing Westminster Abbey.

The building has hosted a wide variety of events, including early suffragette meetings in 1914 and the first-ever UN Public Address in 1946, through to the BBC’s New Years Eve celebrations, and displaying the 1966 World Cup trophy.

The Tower of London, officially His Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress of the Tower of London, sits on the north bank of the Thames just beside Tower Bridge, offering some of the best views in London.

A palace has stood on this site for nearly 1000 years, and has long been known as one of the most secure castles in the land. The Tower is home to the Crown Jewels, and is a protected World Heritage Site.
