Lineup Systems obtains new data security certification

Lineup today announced that they have become an ISO/IEC 27001 accredited organization. In accordance with Lineup’s mission to empower and support media organizations, this information security certification demonstrates the company’s ability to protect customer data.  

The ISO/IEC 27001 information security standard is considered a global benchmark, and requires organizations to meet criteria such as: 

  • Systematically examine the organization’s information security risks, taking account of the threats, vulnerabilities, and impacts; 
  • Design and implement a coherent and comprehensive suite of information security controls and/or other forms of risk treatment (such as risk avoidance or risk transfer) to address those risks that are deemed unacceptable; and 
  • Adopt an overarching management process to ensure that the information security controls continue to meet the organization’s information security needs on an ongoing basis.

Lineup’s Chief Information Officer, Rob Hesmondhalgh, said, “This a great indication of how we continue to mature as a company, and how seriously we view information security.  The effort that every person in the company has put in – to work more consistently, smarter, and with an understanding of how we all fit together – has made this possible.”
