2021 has been a challenging year for everyone, with the entire world continuing to navigate the pandemic and coming to terms with the ‘new normal’ ways of working. I am very proud of the work our Lineup team has put in to deliver innovative products to our customers and how well the team work together to tackle every project that comes their way, even in the face of global adversity.
In an age where technology is continually changing and evolving, the concept of innovation seems almost ubiquitous (clearly, with new tech trends that are here to stay every year). So, to ensure our customers receive cutting edge technologies – and that our people are always thinking about the “next best thing” – it is therefore essential that we keep moving forward as our market evolves and adapts.
As a company created with innovation at its core, Lineup has always been focused on staying ahead of the market, and we believe the best way to do that is to harness the collective minds of our entire organization, and the customers we work with.
Innovating together
Every department was challenged in different ways, not just in terms of product innovation, but also across our support, deployment, and internal business teams.
We encouraged everyone to be constantly thinking about the big (or small) changes we could be making every day to ensure we remain at the forefront of innovation in our roles. We’ve also introduced an internal Innovation Hub for our staff, with the aim that anyone can suggest ideas which can help drive Lineup forward, regardless of where they work.
Our customers’ innovations – your success is our success
Lineup partners with organizations around the world to support their reader revenue businesses, and in 2021 we also welcomed a host of new customers worldwide, including Media24, EETech, Sky News Arabia, Travelport and Bauer (to name just a few). Every customer is invited to get involved in the future direction of our solutions, and we have set in place a number of initiatives that allow for a global community development approach.
Every release that we develop has an item that has been selected by our partner community through an online voting system. We also host an annual user conference (global pandemics permitting), which allows our customers and the Lineup team to meet and brainstorm ideas for the year ahead. We are all very much looking forward to the return of this event in 2022! We also hold strategy sessions with senior leaders at our customer organizations so we can discuss the direction both businesses are headed and ensure our systems meet your company’s direction when you need it. Product development
At the start of this year, in response to customer demand, we launched Amplio, our ground-breaking subscription revenue management and monetization system that’s ushering in a new era for subscription acquisition and management.
We also made substantial investments in Adpoint, most recently delivering innovations to manage digital audio bookings; new cost tracking functionality for faster revenue management; and a major enhancement to Adpoint’s CRM that delivers a new approach to opportunity and proposal handling.
We are very proud of the fact that Lineup reinvests a third of its revenue back into development and has more than 40 percent of the team focused on research and development, invested in your success.
Our focus is on customer needs: customers choose when they upgrade their systems, resulting in optimal innovation timelines that ensure we work in sync with your business cadence. We’ve also built an open ecosystem for integrations, so our software is continuously evolving to best support our customers.
By constantly looking for new ways to innovate – even from non-traditional sources – Lineup will always continue to push ahead. Collaboration and transformation are core values for us and are embedded into the fabric of our company. This keeps up pushing forward, not only in terms of product innovation, but also with regards to the ways we work together and with our customers.
